I heard it on the news the other night.  I’m so excited.  Aldi’s is a grocery discount chain that carries only private labels.  I hear other bloggers chatting about how much they’ve saved, any given week, at this store.  I can’t wait to see how much I can walk out with, for pennies on the dollar.

Before you shop there, you may want to familiarize yourself with their “different than most stores” practices.  To get a better picture of what the store will be like, read this.  You really need to be informed before you shop there (no credit cards or checks accepted, bring your own bags, etc.)

Kroger was the guinea pig for e-coupons, but now they’re at my Tom Thumb!  From all I have read, this is the way we’ll be getting our beloved coupons in the future.  The only drawback is not being able to load multiples of a coupon you really like.  I understand the reasoning though.  However, we are allowed to stack e-coupons with manufacturer coupons for even greater savings!  For more info, look here.

I don’t know how far reaching the Culver’s chain is, but I know we have one locally.  If you frequent that restaurant, you might consider buying yourself a $25 gift certificate so you can get a coupon for a double deluxe butter burger.  Yum!

Remember, there are many restaurants offering freebies when you buy a gift certificate this time of year.  If you frequent a particular restaurant, you might want to inquire about a deal.

It is reported that many Target stores are carrying Rayovac 4/pk. batteries in their dollar section.  I haven’t checked my store, but if you’re heading to Target you might want to print and take this $1 off coupon with you to see if you can score some freebies.  There was also one in Sunday’s paper.  Just remember Target stores vary in their deals.
