Stockpiling for Hurricane Gustav Vicitims

Posted by Lisa

For those of you who stockpile and live in the Gulf region, or the region where Gustav evacuees are being sheltered, here is a list of area shelters who could use your stash. You can call your area shelter and ask who is in charge of the relief effort and if you can get a contact name & number. See if they need your supplies and where & when you can drop them off. This is a great hands-on way our entire family can participate in helping and giving to others.

If you don’t stockpile/live in the area, but would still like to donate, cash is the number one necessity. Cash helps even more because organizations can purchase exactly what they need for any given situation. Go to RedCross.org for more info. There are many relief organizations set up to help Gustav victims.
